How to Request a Ride
The only way to get an Uber is to use the Uber app. Your pickup location will automatically be filled in using your phone’s GPS and you manually enter your destination into the app. Once you enter your destination, you can then select which type of vehicle you would like for your ride. Uber will also show you the total amount of your fare for most vehicle types. If requesting a taxi from the Uber app, the meter may determine your total fare. Once you select your vehicle type and confirm your trip, the app will find a driver for you. You will see the driver’s photo, car make and model and license plate of your car. When the car arrives, get in and your trip begins.
