How to Request a Ride
The only way to get a Lyft is to use the mobile app. Your pickup location will automatically be filled in using your phone’s GPS and you manually enter your destination into the app. Once you enter your destination, you can then select which type of vehicle you would like for your ride. Lyft will also show you the total amount of your fare for most vehicle types. Once you select your vehicle type and confirm your trip, the app will find a driver for you. You will see the driver’s photo, car make and model and license plate of your car. When the car arrives, get in and your trip begins.
