ARRO (NYC Taxi)
ARRO is an app for NYC yellow cabs that allows you to request a ride, or ‘check-in’ to a taxi that you hailed yourself on the street. It’s a good option if there are ARRO equipped cabs already very close to you, and surge pricing is affecting other ride sharing services.

How to Request a Ride
You can request a taxi using the ARRO app or by getting in any cab and entering in your pairing code into the ARRO app. If requesting your ride in the app, Your pickup location will automatically be filled in using your phone’s GPS and you manually enter your destination. Once you enter your destination, you can then select which type of vehicle you would like for your ride. Once you select your vehicle type and confirm your trip, the app will find a driver for you. You will see the car and license plate of your taxi on the screen. When the taxi arrives, get in and your trip begins.
