Update February 1, 2021: NYC Ferry has begun a contactless ticket system. This means that you will no longer be able to purchase tickets from a person at the ticketing kiosk. All ticket purchases must be made on the NYC Ferry app or at an automated ticket vending machine using cash, debit or credit card.

There are 9 ferry routes from three different providers connecting Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island and Governors Island. We have grouped them all under this one section and will explain the differences.

Staten Island Ferry Ticket•Free

Travelling to and from Staten Island by ferry is free.

Ferry Ticket•$2.75

An adult one way ticket is just $2.75. If you are travelling to Governors Island, a round trip ticket is $3.00.

Bike Ticket•$1.00

Want to bring your bicycle with you? You will have to pay an extra $1.00 to bring it aboard your one way trip.

Ferry Ticket + Bike•$3.75

You can purchase your adult one way ticket and bike ticket at the same time for $3.75.

30 Day Pass•$121.00

Get 30 days of unlimited ferry one-way trips for $121.00.

30 Day Pass + Bike•$141.00

If you need a 30 day pass and need to travel with your bicycle, this is the option for you.

How to Start Your Trip

Use the NYC Ferry app or kiosk to purchase your ticket. Each pier will have a sign showing the specific dock used for each route of that location. Line up in the appropriate queue for your route and when boarding begins, have your ticket scanned by the NYC Ferry staff.
