How to Board & Exit a Train
Follow the track and line signs to the platform for your train. When the train comes to a complete stop, the doors will open up on each train car automatically if someone is exiting that door. Allow riders to exit the train before you board. If your door does not open, there is a door open button on the outside of the door. When it comes times to exit at your stop, you do not need to request stops but you do need to press the door open button when the train comes to a complete stop.
Transfer Rules
If you are transferring from one line to another, you will most likely have to go through a transfer gate at your exiting station on your way to your new train. There are no transfer discounts for riders transferring from a train to metro, tram or buses in Lisbon.
