How to Start Your Trip
Use a ticketing kiosk at the Ferry terminal to purchase your Via Viagem card if you don’t have one. Tap your card at the gate to gain entry into the ferry terminal. Wait for your ferry to arrive and follow the signs for the appropriate dock for your destination. When the ferry arrives, passengers will first have to exit the ferry and walk all the way up the ramp before they let boarding passengers on. When the gates open, board the ferry and find a seat. There are no reserved seats on the ferry.
How to End Your Trip
When your ferry arrives at its destination, exit the ship and walk down to the dock. Don’t forget to tap your Via Viagem Card on the way out so the appropriate fare is debited from your card.
