Kuala Lumpur Bus
The rapidKL bus system has 174 routes operating across 8 zones in the city. The first buses begin service at 6:00 and run until 23:00/23:30. Fares are calculated based on a zone system. All fare payments must be done using a smart card.
Bus System
There isn’t a map for the bus system, but lists of operating hours, fares, and routes can be found here:
Click on any given route to discover the zones it travels through. For information and help when determining your route, you can contact the rapidKL helpline at +60 3-7885-2585.
How to Board & Exit a Bus
Follow signs for a bus stop and flag down the driver. Allow passengers to exit before boarding at the front of the bus. Fares can be paid via the MyRapid TouchandGo card, Concession Cards, or the KL TravelPass (if money has been loaded) by tapping on. To request a stop, push the red stop request buttons located throughout the bus. You can exit through the back of the bus. Ensure that you tap off, otherwise the maximum zonal fare will be charged.
Transfer Rules
There are no subsidies of any sort when transferring to another bus or another method of transportation.
