How to Board & Exit Marmaray
Every door will open up on each train car automatically at each station. You do not need to request stops or press any buttons or levers to open the doors. The doors are controlled by the driver.
Transfer Rules
Istanbul offers discounted transfer fares when transferring from one transport method to another. When paying your initial fare on Istanbulkart, your card will be charged ₺3.50. However, you will only be charged ₺1.85 if you transfer to a different vehicle or route, not the full fare. These transfer discounts are not offered for travellers using tokens or limited use cards.
