Istanbul Tramway
Istanbul has two tramway lines on the European side of the city. There are 53 stations that serve over 400,000 passengers every day. These tramway lines are an integral part of Istanbul's public transportation service.

How to Board & Exit the Trams
To board a tram, you may have to press the button on the outside of the doors once the vehicle has come to a complete stop. There are maps and signs inside the tram showing which stops are up next. To request a stop, press the request stop button on a nearby pole.
Transfer Rules
If you are using your Istanbulkart, you get a discounted fare when transferring between the tram, funicular and metro. You only get the discounted fare if your transfer is within 2 hours of the initial use of the Istanbulkart.
