The Réseau Express Régional is a five line express train system serving Paris and its suburbs. Some RER stations connect with Paris Métro stations.

How to Board & Exit an RER Train
To pay your fare, tap your Navigo card or validate your t+ ticket upon passing through the turnstile. RER stations use the same turnstiles as Paris Métro stations. Follow the signage to go to your platform and find your train. You may have to press a button to open the doors to board.
Transfer Rules
You can transfer freely between other RER lines and métro lines (within Paris) for 2 hours after first using your ticket.
