Toronto Transit Fares Increase

The Toronto Transit Commission has increased fares on their reloadable Presto Cards and monthly passes. The fare changes are:

Monthly Pass

• Student Pass: $128.15 (+$5.70)

• Adult Pass: $156.00 (+$4.85)

Presto

• Presto Card: $3.20 (+$0.10)

• Presto Ticket Single Fare: $3.25 (+$0.10)

• Presto Ticket Two Fares: $6.50 (+$0.10)

• Presto Ticket Day Pass: $13.50 (+$0.10)

These increases come as the TTC recently announced that they missed out on an estimated $70 million in 2019. The main source of loss of revenue: fare evasion.
